Characters

Rupert is a 17 year old boy. He lives with his mother and brother in a small house in a residential area. His brother is a constant reminder of what he is not and the bass from his music constantly thumps on ruperts walls, as he lay on his bed staring at the cieling.
clothes are thrown around the room, the curtans are closed with one thin line of light coming through. and the only other source of light is that of his desk light gleaming on his neat college work.
Rupert dresses in scruffy dull clothes and he has a kettle and toaster in his room which emphasises his solitary confinement.
Ruperts mother is always at work and is struggling to pay bills so is rarley around or able to cater for them.
Rupert occasionaly wonders into his brothers room where theres allways mates joking around, smoking and playing music but is always ushered to leave.
Katie a 17 year old white girl with long blonde hair used to go to primary school with rupert and was very close with him, however as the years have progressed she is now in a relationship with ruperts best friend jack. Jack was ruperts best friend and together they liked her however Jack overlooked this and pursued her. Rupert through jealosy has created an iner hate for jack because of this and Jack has recently started being deliberatly patronising towards Rupert infront of her. Rupert is aware he has no friends and is a "nobody" and that jack and katie are both social people but his ongoing jealosy over katie has driven him to do something about it.
Katie at the back of her head may still like Rupert but he will have to prove himself because over the years he hasnt adapted to social life and Jack has so much more going for him therefor currently theres nothing in it for her. Rupert feels he has taken a back seat inlife for too long and is ready to do something about.
Jack is 18 drives a nice car and has spikey brown hair, he is well built and a good fashion sense.

With these bullet points my partner and i can now create an essay on the character which will allow our ideas to flow.

Generating Ideas

At the beginning of last lesson we were asked to brainstorm ideas for our film and come up with 1 short sentence to describe it. working with Josh Gee we came up with "Our film is about a guy who's had enough of being a nobody and his struggle to become somebody". however this idea may sound complex but further research into short films will help us learn more about the structures of such texts.

we also came up with such ideas as a Road-trip from london to Southend where a group of boys take there friend in order to get over the breakup with his girl friend.
